Top 3 Favorite Things To Do in March

In our beloved Bakersfield, there’s always something happening. We’ve scouted event calendars + pages and found our top 3 things to do in the city!

These are our recommendations for the month of March.

March 9th, demonstrations at 1pm + 2:30pm.

Bakersfield is becoming a healthier city as most of us are paying more attention to where our food comes from and how best to prepare it. If this describes you, then you’ll want to be at The Kitchen to Meet the Rancher, Butcher + Chef. Join this Second Saturday event at 1pm or 2:30pm for an in-depth grass-fed ranch Q&A, butcher demonstration by Tehachapi’s The Butcher Shop + beef tasting prepared by Chef Richard. Email for tickets: info@thekitchenbakersfield.com

March 23rd, Race begins at 9:30am

Wall Street Alley - Downtown Bakersfield

When signs of spring start popping up, we all want a creative + fun way to get outside and knock off the winter blues — this is one of the best ways yet! And let’s admit it, we’ve all had dreams of quitting our day jobs, traveling the world + making it big on The Amazing Race. Grab a few smart, competitive team members for this part scavenger hunt + obstacle course event. Register here.

March 28th @ Sonder restaurant

Patio opens at 5:30pm, Event begins at 6pm

Back by popular demand, join us for this Be in Bakersfield ambassador event! Be ROOTED in Bakersfield is about connecting newcomers to natives for a deeper connection to the Bakersfield community. If you joined us last August for appetizers, drinks + fun conversations about why we love Bakersfield, then you know you don’t want to miss this one. Your Be in Bakersfield team has a great evening planned with more delicious food + drinks, inspiring stories and an interactive work of art that you will be proud to take part in.
