Top 3 Favorite Things To Do in JULY

There’s always something happening in our beloved Bakersfield. We’ve scouted event calendars + pages to find our top 3 things to do in the city.

These are our recommendations for the month of July!

July 4th, 3:30pm, firework show starts at 9pm

It’s time to celebrate. We love seeing the night sky lit up with a beautiful firework show to honor Independence Day, and it’s even better when you add good friends + good food. The Park at River Walk puts on a spectacular show each year that won’t disappoint. Grab a filled ice chest + the picnic blanket, and come celebrate!

July 7th, 11am

Mill Creek Church

Bakersfield has proven over + over that we are a community that supports each other + gives generously. Making burritos almost as big as their hearts, The Bakersfield Burrito Project will be celebrating their 10th year in service to the community. Every Sunday without fail, volunteers from all over the city meet up to cook, wrap + deliver delicious handmade burritos to anyone who needs one at Mill Creek Church. Join us as we support those who are in + for Bakersfield.

July 27th, 4-9pm

Kern County Fair Grounds

Who doesn’t love good food? Local food trucks have been all the rage in the past few years as foodies have discovered there’s something extra special cooked up in the back of a mobile kitchen. The Kern County Fairgrounds is hosting a festival gathering all the best food trucks in Bakersfield + the surrounding areas for one day in one location. Don’t miss it!
